I'm really glad that my husband has the preisthood and is a worthy holder of it. He has given me blessings many times when I've been in need that have given me comfort and counsel--counsel that I reflect on again and again. Needed counsel. And blessings of healing too. This one time, he gave a blessing to Owen when he was crying and crying from gas pains, and nothing would quiet him, but--it was a miracle--as Ben was saying the blessing Owen's breathing slowed, his crying stopped and within two minutes he was asleep. It was so miraculous and I was so grateful for days afterwards, reflecting on it. I guess what I mean to say is that I've been developing a testimony of the priesthood power. I'm so glad that Ben is willing to give me a blessing whenever I ask for one and that he is righteous enough so that the spirit can speak through him. He gave Owen the most beautiful blessing when he was given a name and a blessing. I guess I'm also trying to say that I'm grateful for my husband. I would never have even considered him as someone to date, let alone marry. If it weren't for prayer and fasting we wouldn't be together now, and look at us, so happily married. I know I never could have found a better man or one that'd love me so selflessly as Ben. And now we have a chubby, warm, squishy little baby too.
yeah. Anyways, just some things I've been thinking about. It's pretty early. Owen got us up at ten-to-five and stayed up for an hour and then crashed. Sadly I am irrevocably up now though. sigh. and Ben left to go help dad with some window-washing. We're leaving today for Alberta. I'm a little nervous about how that'll go with Owen. Poor guy. He hates his seat. And we'll be doing so much travelling while we're there. Ben wants to go EVERYWHERE to show EVERYBODY HE HAS EVER MET the baby. Regardless of the poor baby's discomfort in getting there. So we're going to Calgary first and staying with his sister, and then we're going to Red Deer, and then I dunno..Lethbridge...or Edmonton. I don't know which one we're going to first. The thing I'm looking forward to, I am not ashamed to say, is West Edmonton Mall. I am heading straight for H&M. But we're going to a wedding too. Those are fun. I'm looking forward to that too. And Jen's due any day, so hopefully we'll see her little baby too. I guess the only thing I'm not looking forward to is the travelling.
